Karnataka Common Entrance Test is held every year to test the potential of the students and accordingly give seats in various Engineering, Medical, Dental and Architecture courses across the State. The total number of seats in the state colleges are divided into free and payment seats. There are quota seats within these categories, and the rule of their division is subject to change every year. Eligibility criteria to appear in competitive exams are:

  • Completed and passed 10th standard exams under CBSE, ISCE or SSLC boards.
  • Minimum age limit to take admission in the Medical or Dental exam is 17years by 30th December.
  • Maximum age limit is restricted to 25years by 30th December for Medical and Dental courses.
